Mclaggan Smith make effective company, promotional and commemorative mugs.  Our design team and in-house print shop have produced a first class service to a diverse range of charities, schools, art galleries, museums, businesses large and small as well as individuals seeking bespoke designs on our mugs for over 40 years.

Everything is done to create a distinctive and appealing mug, designed especially for you using traditional, ceramic printing methods.  We can work from supplied finished artwork or use whatever you can provide us with; partly finished designs, rough sketches, references such as photographs, postcards, maps and can even improvise using materials from our own archives if necessary.

Pricing & Production
All designs are printed in the UK using ceramic inks and are transferred to mugs by hand here in our factory, where they are fired overnight in our kilns to temperatures reaching 820˚C.   Our prices depend on artwork, colours and quantity supplied; generally the more mugs you buy the lower the price per mug and the more colours in the design, the higher the price.

We can apply most artwork to our mugs, but the Standard Price Guide is only for artwork suitable for screen printing.  If you are unsure whether your design is suitable for screen printing or whether it is more suitable for full colour printing, please e-mail your artwork to as a TIF, Jpeg or PDF file or send it on a disc to the office, marked for the attention of Lynn Grundy.   To achieve the best results images should be 600 dpi but we can work with 400 dpi if necessary.  Alternatively, original artwork can be supplied by post which we can then use to create a bespoke design, according to your brief.  We can quote for artwork that is sent to us very quickly, usually within hours.

Our minimum print (or) production run is 96 mugs.  Please refer to our Standard Price Guide or contact for further details.

We will always match your colours as closely as possible but we can’t promise to work with an exact pantone due to the nature of the glazes.  For re-orders, although the ceramic mix is the same, as with a new batch of paint and wallpaper, there can be a very slight variation in colour.

Time to delivery is approximately 6-8 weeks from confirmation of order however please let us know if you are working to a tighter time-scale as we will do our best to work to your requirements.
